DESCRIPTION:Following the launch of our Art Showcase and NSW Stroke Awareness Week 2023 you will be welcome to come and view the artwork! This event will mark the start of NSW Stroke Awareness Week\, which will run from 4th – 10th September 2023.  \n\n\n\nThe Art Showcase will feature works from artists in our Stroke community and will be displayed in the foyer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital\, Sydney from Monday 4th – Thursday 7th September 2023. During this time\, people will be encouraged to vote for the ‘audience choice’ award\, which will be announced on Thursday 7th September\, at 11:30 am. \n\n\n\nThis event is free of charge. \n\n\n\nPrepare to be inspired as we kick off NSW Stroke Awareness Week 2023 with some very special guests who will officially open the week. SUMMARY:Yom Kippur
DESCRIPTION:Join us to commemorate and learn about Yom Kippur the holiest day in Judaism.  \n\n\n\nPrimarily centered on atonement and repentance\, the day’s main observances consist of full fasting and ascetic behavior accompanied by long prayer services in synagogue\, as well as sin confessions. \n\n\n\nYom Kippur is one of the two High Holy Days\, or Days of Awe (Hebrew yamim noraim)\, alongside Rosh Hashana (which falls nine days previously). According to Jewish tradition\, on Rosh Hashanah God inscribes each person’s fate for the coming year into the Book of Life and waits until Yom Kippur to “seal” the verdict. \n\n\n\nAlongside the related holiday of Rosh Hashanah\, Yom Kippur is one of the two components of the “High Holy Days” of Judaism. It is also the last day of the Ten Days of Repentance.
