DESCRIPTION:The Stroke Recovery Association NSW & Royal Rehab Private Petersham are very excited to be holding the Reps to Recovery Stroke Challenge in 2024.  \n\n\n\nThis challenge will run from Monday\, 27th May\, to Sunday\, 2nd June 2024\, to celebrate the Stroke Recovery Association’s 47th year of operation in NSW. \n\n\n\nDuring this week\, we ask you to set an individualised repetitive exercise goal. We want to challenge you to see how many repetitions of the exercises you can do. \n\n\n\nThis goal could be anything from taking 500 steps\, raising your arms 30 times\, or repeating the steps to drink from a cup\, 10\,000 steps\, 5km run— no goal is too big or too small. Track how many reps you can do for the week and share with us! \n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1. Register  \n\n\n\nRegister below and commit to your own individualised repetitive exercise goal. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2. Share  \n\n\n\nShare the challenge and fundraise to help raise Stroke Awareness in NSW. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n3. Conquer \n\n\n\nTrack your Reps and let us know if you achieved your goal.  \n\n\n\n\n\nWAYS TO GET INVOLVED \n\n\n\n\n\nIndividualsChallenge yourself and create an individualised repetitive exercise goal. \n\n\n\n\n\nTeamsGet your friends\, families\, and community involved to complete the challenge together.  \n\n\n\n\n\nOrganisationsRegister your organisation and engage your staff/colleagues in a fun challenge. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will be receiving an info kit about the challenge (including some great freebies for you to use throughout the challenge week) \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nYou can also donate to the campaign below.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready to join the ultimate fun-filled event of the year\, the Sydney Stroke Olympics 2024!  \n\n\n\nIt’s not just any competition\, it’s a day of camaraderie\, laughter\, and making new friends. This event has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year and for good reason – it’s an amazing opportunity to participate in accessible games and connect with other Stroke survivors and carers.  \n\n\n\nNo matter what your ability is\, there’s a game for you! Whether you use a wheelchair\, experience Aphasia or have low vision\, we’ve got you covered. \n\n\n\nGames for Stroke survivors include:  \n\n\n\n\nPutting  \n\n\n\nBall-In-A-Box  \n\n\n\nQuoits \n\n\n\nDominoes  \n\n\n\nConcentration – card memory game  \n\n\n\nBean Bag Toss \n\n\n\nSkittles\n\n\n\nTin Pong Cup\n\n\n\n\nThere are also a select number of games for carers to participate in on the day (please note that paid carers are not eligible to win any awards\, however\, are welcome to participate):   \n\n\n\n\nPutting\n\n\n\nTin pong\n\n\n\n\nThe winners will take home gold\, silver\, and bronze medals! And let’s not forget the coveted Club Champions and Battler of the Year perpetual trophies. Last year’s event was a nail-biter\, with the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai Stroke Recovery Club taking home the top prize for the second year in a row. But who will be crowned this year’s champion? Teams are already in training\, and the excitement is building! \n\n\n\nDon’t miss out on this incredible day of celebration\, inspiration\, and pure fun!
