FoCcuS4HEART Research Project

Researchers from the University of Newcastle are conducting the FoCCuS4HEART project, which seeks to work with informal female carers of Stroke survivors to develop strategies and tools to support carers to self-manage their emotional and physical health. If you’re a woman who provides care or has provided care to someone who has had a Stroke, you can help by sharing your experiences in our survey.

Where is the research being done?

The study is being conducted within this institution by Dr Alexandra Denham.

The study is being supported by a philanthropic grant through the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).

Who can participate in the research?

Participating in this research is suitable for you if:

•        Aged 18 years and over

•        Female

•        Can speak English

•        You are a current or former informal carer of a person who has had a stroke. This includes unpaid spouses, family members, friends
