Get ready to join the ultimate fun-filled event of the year, the Hunter Stroke Olympics 2024!
It’s not just any competition, it’s a day of camaraderie, laughter, and making new friends. This event has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year and for good reason – it’s an amazing opportunity to participate in accessible games and connect with other Stroke survivors and carers.
No matter what your ability is, there’s a game for you! Whether you use a wheelchair, experience Aphasia or have low vision, we’ve got you covered.
Games for Stroke survivors include:
- Putting
- Ball-In-A-Box
- Quoits
- Dominoes
- Concentration – card memory game
- Bean Bag Toss
- Carpet Bowls
- Euchre
- Cup Pong
There are also a select number of games for carers to participate in on the day (please note that paid carers are not eligible to win any awards, however, are welcome to participate):
- Putting for carers
- Cup pong
The winners will take home gold, silver, and bronze medals! And let’s not forget the coveted Club Champions and Battler of the Year perpetual trophies. Who will be crowned this year’s champion? Teams are already in training, and the excitement is building!
