Sip and nibbles (Games Night) – online Stroke support group

Recurring event see all

25 October, 2023 @ 7:30 pm 9:00 pm AEDT

Welcome to the Working Age Sip and Nibbles Stroke support group! Our monthly meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month via Zoom meetings. This group is specifically designed for Stroke survivors of working age (under 67 years) to connect with others in a relaxed and fun environment.

The second meeting of each month is a games night for members to have some fun with a hint of friendly competition!

At our Sip and Nibbles sessions, members are encouraged to sip on their favourite beverage and nibble on their favourite snacks while they engage in conversation with other group members. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, share experiences, and offer support to one another.

We understand that drinking alcohol may be a part of socialising for some members, but we also want to remind our members that it is important to only drink after clearance from your doctor, to drink in moderation, and that drinking may also exacerbate the effects of your Stroke. We want to ensure the safety and well-being of all our members, and we encourage responsible drinking.

Our support group is open to all Stroke survivors of working age (18 – 67 years) from NSW who are looking to connect with others and share their experiences in a supportive and understanding environment.
