Improving participation of women in Stroke clinical trials through consumer engagement

What is it?

This study aims to explore the barriers and facilitators that influence women’s participation in Stroke clinical trials. The study seeks to generate insights that will guide the development of inclusive, patient-centred recruitment and consent processes to improve gender equity in Stroke research.

What involvement is required?

• Attend an online focus group discussion (~ 1 hour)
• Answer questions about factors for women in clinical Stroke trails
• Gift card compensation

Eligibility requirements:

• Adults 18 years or older
• You identify as a woman
• Have lived experienced of stroke
• Able to provide consent

Translation services can be provided to those who do not speak English as their first language.
